An indie game that helps people get comfortable with each other.
Get comfortable and get together, right together…
As virtual reality becomes ever more advanced and accessible, we feel much closer to people who are miles away than ever before. But the true human touch, which promotes the release of oxytocin, the hormone that gives the feeling of love and trust, is still out of reach. Blow me if you dare! It's a multiplayer game that encourages physical intimacy reminiscent of playground games.
Minimal design: maximum interaction
When developing the project, we spent most of our time designing the game mechanics to achieve maximum interactivity with a simple and elegant solution (programming). We knew that we should persuade players to get close to each other, but at the same time avoid uncomfortable contact.
No rules: endless fun
In fact, just one. Each player has three sensors on their body: neck, waist and thigh. To win the game, all other players' sensors must be deactivated. Like? Blowing the sensors up close and protecting themselves. The only rule is that you cannot cover the sensors with your hands, but players are free to invent any other defensive or attacking strategy.
The game test was extremely successful - strangers became friends, friends became best friends. And they kept coming back for more rounds!
Made with Arduino and case with CNC Router.
